Evan attended Boston University’s Center for Digital Imaging arts from 2009-2011 and graduated with a certificate in Digital Filmmaking. With this topical knowledge, passion & determination he set out to become a Cinematographer.
In 2014 Evan met long time collaborators Paul Taft & Maura Traniello for the first time. Working together on numerous projects, eventually Evan decided to found Hop Top Films with the intention of building a small, tight knit community of local New England filmmakers with one common goal; creating awesome movies.

Evan & Maura met on the set of a locally produced independent feature film in 2014 and ever since they’ve been close like family. Maura is an extremely experienced Makeup Artist & frequent collaborator with Hop Top Films and family.
Maura has a storied history in and around the arts industries and she brings a diverse set of skills to our team.

In 2014, Evan met local actor Paul Taft, who was a perfect fit for an upcoming role Evan needed to cast.
Their friendship continued to grow after various projects together, and they recognized the uniqueness of their partnership.
In 2016, they officially joined forces and established Hop Top Films.
Paul has years of experience as a SAG actor and has become a jack-of-all-trades on both sides of the camera. He often takes on various roles when on set, including Assistant Director and Location Manager.
